I'm tired of people trying to quantify things that can't be quantified. I'm tired of judgments based only on superstition. Michael Bolton is a better singer than Tom Petty. I'll give you that. But Tom Petty is cool. Bolton is not. So I'm going with Petty.

Last night was great! I don't know why I haven't done anything like that sooner. The French Quarter is a pretty happening place for a writer's night - big stage, etc.
I don't know why, but I've had a massive case of the "blah's" lately. It's like I unwound the weekend after Thanksgiving (good thing), but haven't seemed to wind back up (not good!). O bla dee o bla da, life goes on, bra.

Well, I had an interesting morning. I played "Hold On" by Kansas at church. Jason from True Vibe sang. It was actually pretty cool. I also played an acoustic version of "What Child is This?" that I thought went fairly well. Strangely enough, that's one of the few "solo" acoustic songs I've ever attempted, so it was very convenient (providential?) that I was asked to do that one.
Tonight, the fun continues as I do my first solo performance in about 8 years. I have no idea what to expect or how it's going to go - I'll have to get back on here later to fill in the "after concert thoughts".
